MPH in Reproductive and Child Health
Admission requirement for MPH in Reproductive and Child Health
Applicants to the postgraduate public health training in MPH in Reproductive and Child Health should have a minimum of first degree in Medical or Health Sciences (Medicine, Health Officer, Nursing, Midwifery, and Psychiatry), and Population Studies. Applicants must have two years of work experience after graduation before admission to the program. Moreover, applicants must forward two letters of recommendation from their employers and academic supervisors. One of the references should be an academic referee. As the medium of instruction is English, applicants whose medium of instruction at secondary and/or higher education was not English would be required to produce a certificate of proficiency in English language.
Up on application for a place in the postgraduate program, applicants should append anon-refundable application fee of 100 ETB payable to the University of Gondar. Those students who are accepted are further required to pay a registration fee of100 ETB for year-I Semester I and then 50 ETB in each semester. Tuition fees for masters program are to be decided by the University every year but will depend on the total number of credit hours a student takes. The costs for undertaking thesis should be covered by the applicants themselves or their sponsoring organizations.
In as far as scholarships are concerned, limited number of scholarships could be awarded to staffs of University of Gondar every year on condition that they fulfil all entrance requirements and University obligations. Special arrangements can also be done with governmental, non-governmental and private organizations to set special programs and in which case fees and scholarship arrangements could differ from what applies under normal circumstances.
